The Process Between You and Your Approved Tradesmen:

  • You and your contractor decide what work is needed with the security of the Home Improvements Guarantee in UK.
  • You agree a price and sign an agreement for the work or project. This can be in stage payments if agreed.
  • If you are requested to pay a deposit direct to the contractor, you are protected by our deposit payment protection scheme, which is included within your Home Improvements Guarantee.
  • Your contractor will process your application by submitting the details to us. When the application is received you will be contacted with details and further information about your Home Improvements Guarantee.
  • You can then deposit the agreed amount or the first stage payment into a protected HSBC "Client Account" which you and your contractor can view online at any time.
  • The contractor commences work as agreed. Any further stage payments are paid to the contractor as agreed.
  • Any extra work that is required, that is not specified  in the agreement , will be detailed on a seperate work sheet and signed off and paid for when that particular part of the project is completed to your satisfaction.
  • When the work or project is completed and all payments have been made you can provide feedback on the contractor so future clients can see your comments before they hire.
  • Your Home Improvements Guarantee also includes an Insurance Backed Guarantee which guarantees your contractors warranty for up to 10 years after your project has been completed.
